Helpful Tips to start getting organized

Run the dishwasher every night. Whether it is full or not and empty it first thing in the morning so that it is ready to reload for the day. If the dishwasher is mostly empty, then run it on a rinse only setting so that the food doesn’t dry on.

Clear the counter. Put away things like toothbrushes, hairbrushes etc. in an accessible drawer.  Keep only the soap out. If your counter area is large, you can have a nice item on it as a focal point.

Wipe down the table after each use. If there is a cloth tablecloth, it will keep it looking clean for longer.

Choose a few of your favorite items for display. If you have too many, the beauty of your collection will be lost. Less is more.

Go through your media (tapes, videos, DVD’s etc). Keep only what you still use and throw out damaged items.

Hang all items of clothing except undergarments. By using nice hangers, even sweaters will retain their shape. By hanging most of your clothing, it makes laundry time easier and you will need less pieces of furniture in your room.
